Lawyer-AI roundups tend to exaggerate. This one follows three rules.
- Real services only — every tool listed here has an official site and public coverage confirming it exists.
- No invented numbers — we do not quote unverifiable "X% time saved" figures.
- Limits alongside features — what a tool cannot do matters as much as what it can.
Tools change fast. Always confirm current features and pricing on each service's official site.
Korean services
1. SuperLawyer — Law&Company
Official site: superlawyer.co.kr
- What it does: A conversational legal AI assistant for licensed attorneys in Korea. Supports legal research, draft writing, document summarization, and Q&A over uploaded case documents, using Korean case law and statutes through retrieval-augmented generation. Launched in July 2024.
- Limits: Output is a draft, nothing more. Any case or statute it cites must be checked against the original text. It is a paid subscription aimed at licensed legal professionals.
- Caution: Since you upload case materials, review the service's data retention and training policies, and consider informing the client before processing their matter with AI.
2. LBOX — case-law search + LBOX AI
Official site: lbox.kr
- What it does: One of Korea's largest court-decision databases, with a conversational AI research layer on top. Describe a fact pattern in plain sentences and it surfaces related decisions and doctrine. LBOX also acquired the case-search service CaseNote.
- Limits: It searches within collected, available decisions — not every judgment is in the database. AI summaries are for orientation; whether a precedent actually applies to your case is the lawyer's judgment.
- Caution: Before citing an AI-surfaced case in a brief, read the original decision. Summaries can miss nuance.
3. LawForm — Amicus Lex
Official site: lawform.io
- What it does: A document-automation platform for contracts, demand letters, and other legal documents. Answer a questionnaire and it assembles a draft, with e-signature and storage built in. LawForm Business extends this into contract drafting, review, and lifecycle management for companies.
- Limits: Strongest on standardized document types. Bespoke deals with unusual terms need human drafting beyond the automated template.
- Caution: Never ship the auto-generated draft as-is. Adapting it to the parties, risk allocation, and jurisdiction of the actual deal is human work.
4. Allibee — BHSN
Official site: bhsn.ai
- What it does: An AI contract solution for corporate legal teams — contract review and risk analysis, contract lifecycle management (CLM), and translation. In 2026 BHSN launched Allibee Q, which tracks post-signature obligations such as payments, renewals, and notices.
- Limits: AI risk flags are a first-pass screen. Whether a flagged clause is actually dangerous in this deal depends on business context only a human knows.
- Caution: When deploying across an organization, manage access to contract data per matter and per team — contracts are confidential information in themselves.
International services
5. Harvey
Official site: harvey.ai
- What it does: A generative AI platform for law firms and in-house teams. Assistant handles research questions, document review, and memo drafting; Vault stores and analyzes large document sets; answers are grounded with source citations. Adopted by many large firms and enterprises.
- Limits: It is an enterprise product — a high barrier for solo and small practices. It has grown up around English-language, common-law practice.
- Caution: For Korean-law questions the verification burden is heavy; pairing it with tools built on Korean legal data is the practical approach for domestic matters.
6. CoCounsel Legal — Thomson Reuters
Official site: legal.thomsonreuters.com
- What it does: A legal AI assistant that reasons from Westlaw and Practical Law content. Deep Research plans and executes multi-step research on its own; it also supports document summarization and review, contract data extraction, and deposition preparation.
- Limits: Its authority base centers on US legal content. Coverage differs outside the Westlaw ecosystem.
- Caution: Even with an authoritative content base, the citation rule is unchanged — verify against the original source before it reaches a filing.
7. Spellbook
Official site: spellbook.com
- What it does: Contract AI delivered as a Microsoft Word add-in. It reads the document, flags risky clauses, and proposes clause drafts and redlines inside Word. Purpose-built for contract work.
- Limits: A contract-drafting and review tool — not suited to litigation drafting or case-law research.
- Caution: AI-suggested redlines do not know your negotiation strategy. Which edits to accept and which cards to hold is the lawyer's call.

- Lexis+ AI (lexisnexis.com) — LexisNexis's research AI, combining conversational search with Shepard's citation validation.
- Clio (clio.com) — practice-management software covering matters, time tracking, and billing, with AI features that catch unlogged billable time and draft invoices. An operations tool, not a research tool.
Principles that apply whatever tool you choose
Operating discipline matters more than tool choice.
- Confidentiality — lawyers owe a duty of confidentiality. Before uploading case materials to an external AI service, confirm where the data is stored and whether it is used for model training. If unsure, do not upload.
- Client disclosure — if AI is used in handling a matter, informing the client and obtaining consent is the safer course.
- Citation verification — every case, statute, and section number an AI produces must be checked against the original before use. Hallucinated citations can occur with any LLM-based tool.
- The lawyer holds final responsibility — AI output is a draft. Responsibility for legal work and its consequences stays with the lawyer, whatever the tool.
- Double-check court filings — anything leaving the office, especially court submissions, gets a final human review and sign-off.
